Join the 2nd of December for a live discussion between Dutch and Norwegian Youth Representatives and Officials on the Future of the Arctic!
This autumn Norway will present a new white paper on their #ArcticPolicy. Due to climate change, geopolitical interest and economic developments, more countries realize the challenges and opportunities that come with these developments in the Arctic. Norway’s Arctic Policy is therefore not only of interest to the almost 400,000 Norwegians who live above the polar circle but also to the rest of the world.
Decisions taken today will be of great importance for the future development of the region. The youth will eventually face the consequences of today’s policies. Therefore, Norway ‘s Ambassador to the Netherlands, Bård Ivar Svendsen, will discuss these policies with both Dutch & Norwegian youth representatives. Also joining us for the debate will be Carola van Rijnsoever, the Dutch Arctic Ambassador, who will highlight some of the priorities of Dutch Arctic Policy.
Join us for a live debate moderated by Heleen Ekker (NOS)
on Wednesday 2 December at 14:00CET and get the chance to ask questions or comment to both Ambassadors and the Dutch and Norwegian Youth Representatives.
